3 Mom Looks For Winter

As moms it almost seems like we are living a different life everyday, or as if we have split personalities. One day we are mopping up spills and wiping running noses, while the next we are off to spend time with adults. You know, those other humans who are not children and we can actually have a grown up conversation with. Switching our day-to-day lives throughout the week can cause some chaos in our closets.

Here are some quick easy looks to pull together no matter what is on the agenda for the day!

A Day At Home

Here’s my agenda when I know I’m going to be hunkered down at home for the day, with or without kids.

-laundry

-dishes

-tidy

-pay bills

-make appointments

-drop off/pick up

-cleaning

-etc.

I need to be able to move and get stuff done! I want my leggings high and tight to hold everything in, I want an easy knit that can get water splashed on it and wipe my kids nose with, and I want my hair out of my face. I’ll slip into some cozy slippers and hit the ground running! My outfit formula for days like this..

-leggings

-lounge top

-hair accessory

-slippers

A Day Running Errands

I don’t know about you, but Target is on a regular rotation for me. There is always a need to swing by the bullseye in between doctors appointments, dropping things off at the post office, running to Costco, etc. When I have a list of places I need to go, and things I need to get done out of the house, I try to do it all in one swoop. If it’s going to be a day of running errands I want to be comfortable and casual, but still feel dressed for the day. My outfit formula for days like this…

-casual jeans

-knit

-cardigan

-scarf

-sneaker

A Day Being Social

They come around every now and then. Heading out to a morning with other moms, meeting a friend for lunch, or going to any activity that gives you the chance to engage with humans that aren’t children. Yay! (Am I right?) It’s fun chance to bust out some of my cute tops and shoes, and dress in something other “mom gear”. I like to wear something that’s accessorized and expresses a little of my personal style, not my ‘mom style’. My outfit formula for days like this..

-dark denim

-fashion top

-ankle boots

-earrings + necklace
