3 Best Tips When Shopping for Clothes

It’s easy to get overwhelmed when shopping for your wardrobe.

What’s in trend? Is this a good deal? Do I need this? Do have anything to wear it? etc. etc. etc.

To navigate those questions and help you feel more confident in your yeses and no, I want you to remember these three things when shopping for your closet.

A GOOD DEAL DOES NOT EQUAL A GOOD BUY

In order for anything to add value to your wardrobe it has to fit your shape, style, and life. It doesn’t matter if you spend $5 or $500 on something, if doesn’t check all three boxes you won’t feel comfortable or confident wearing it. If something is on sale or seem like a good deal, be sure to still ask yourself if it fits your shape, style, and life.

NOT ALL TRENDS MATCH ALL STYLES

It’s not important for you to be up to speed on what the latest trend is. What you need to be dialed into is your personal style. Just because something is '“on-trend” does not mean it’s your style. Look at color, pattern, and details to find the right match for you and your wardrobe.

VOLUME DOES NOT EQUAL VARIETY

Stop buying more of what you already have. If you stand in front of a closet full of clothes but still feel like you have nothing to wear, it’s because you don’t have the right clothes. You probably have a lot of the same thing hanging in your closet, not actually offering a variety of pieces to wear or mix and match together.
