ON a Model v. On Me; Stitch Fix

This was my 75th Fix with Stitch Fix! I have been getting Fixes from them for over 10 years, wild!

These days I get them less frequently, and I don’t keep as much, but I still look forward to when they are dropped at my door step. It’s fun to try on the pieces and let you inside my brain as I think through what works, and the why or why not. Trying on clothes is a lot more than just is it cute or not.

Making sure the cut is right for your shape, the style is a match for you, and that it will add value to your wardrobe are a must. If something doesn’t fit your shape, style, or life it won’t fit your wardrobe.

Take a peek into my latest Fix, and watch more try-on highlights here.

Market & Spruce; Ella Short

XXL

This style summer bottom will add value to my wardrobe, considering that pull on bottoms with a fitted shirt is my uniform. But will they add variety? I have a lot of this style bottom so I need to be sure that this will give me more variety in that category before keeping. Remember, volume does not equal variety.

Evolution by Cyrus; Short Sleeve Sweater

XXL

The scallop detail is so cute, just not for me. My style is preppy-sporty-casual. If you have romantic in your style than this is for you!

Fortune + Ivy; Indina Blouse

XXL

This did not fit. Oh well. It’s not cut right for my shape, so even I went up a size it wouldn’t deliver a better fit. Remember, it has to be cut right for you first then you get the right size.

MIA; Ilse Sandal

11

I love that Stitch Fix goes to a size 11, but these were way to narrow for me. However I do want to call out the metallic detail. We often recommend metallic shoes to add a pop of personality to a wardrobe. It’s a subtle addition that adds style without feeling overwhelming.

Bobeau; Short Sleeve and Short Sleep & Lounge Set

2X

Love the idea, but IRL it’s not working for me. The shorts are see through and the color is wrong for me. I did ask if there were any other color options, we’ll see! I’d love it in a coral or blue 🤔

Staring at a closet full of clothes but can’t find anything to wear?

There are three reasons why. We’ll tell you what they are and how to fix them!
